Eagle Grove Community School District
Concert Band
The Eagle Grove Concert Band begins rehearsal sometime in October, once the main marching band season ends.

Our Concert Band performs at 3 seasonal concerts, the Holiday Concert with the EGHS Choir, the Winter Concert with the combined 5-12 band members, and our Spring Concert once again with the EGHS Choir.

Additionally, the band performs at our Graduation Ceremony, soon followed by a performance on Memorial Day.

This year the Eagle Grove Concert Band will perform at Veteran's Day ceremonies held at the Robert Blue Middle School Auditorium, honoring our local Veterans.

The Spring brings us to solos, small ensembles, and chamber groups, culminating at State Solo and Ensemble Contest, hosted by the Iowa High School Music Association.

Shortly after this event, Large Group Contest is held, where the band plays for a series of judges.

Select students have the opportunity to attend regional Honor Bands, including those at Iowa State University, the University of Northern Iowa, and the NCIBA Honor Band held in Mason City.

In an effort to expose our students to a wide range of musical performances, from time to time, we will host a guest ensemble. In the past, Morningside College has performed at Eagle Grove, and last year we hosted a brass quintet and jazz duo from the United States Marine Corps.
